Renault have baulked at suggestions that problems with its power unit are the sole reason for Red Bull's early season performance deficit to Mercedes, saying a combination of factors are behind the former world champion team's struggles.

Ten full season entry cars in the LMP2 class will make the journey to Le Castellet for The Prologue on the 27/28 March, the official start to the 2015 World Endurance Championship. The two day event will feature 29 of the 35 full season entries and the LMP2 category will make up the largest group of cars at Circuit Paul Ricard. On Saturday 28 March the public will be invited to be part of The Prologue; the free entry will also allow fans access to meet the drivers during the lunch time pitwalk and autograph session.

Costs are everyone’s main concern, and an average day at a European KF Championship round with a decent team is around £2500. So if you’re looking at a season’s racing which is between 80 and 100 days, it can be up to £250,000! The equivalent in Rotax is around £1000 per day. Some of the fathers that I’m involved with in karting are looking at the budgets at continuing in karting for one more year or moving into junior single-seaters in the BRDC F4 Championship in which the budget for a full year including plenty of additional testing is around £150,000. That is obviously a huge negative for the karting industry.

Hendrick Motorsports announced Thursday morning that this will be Jeff Gordon's final season competing for a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series championship.The four-time champion announced the news to his No. 24 team Thursday, saying he hesitated using the word "retirement" as he enters his 23rd and final full-time season.
